Meet Our Team: 

Meike Sauerwein

Meike holds an appointment as a lecturer in the Division of Environment and Sustainability and is the Academic Lead of the HKUST Life Cycle Lab. Her research and teaching focuses on the holistic assessments of the environmental impacts through life cycle assessment (LCA) and how such knowledge can be utilized for sustainable product and circular system design, product labelling, behavioural research and consumer education as well as policy making.

Davis Bookhart

Bookhart oversees work on achieving HKUST’s sustainability objectives as formulated in the HKUST’ Sustainability Action Plan (2028 Sustainability Challenge), which includes the Sustainable Smart Campus as a Living Lab initiative and the Jockey Club Sustainable Campus Consumer programme.

Teri Tan

Teri Tan has more than 15 years building consultancy experience locally and overseas. Most recently, Teri was sustainability team leader at Ove Arup, where she has utilised life cycle assessment, embodied carbon calculations and life cycle costing in developing sustainable design and engineering on major projects in Hong Kong.

Evelyn Pang 

Evelyn has strong interests in Sustainable Development, Geography and Education.  She believes that everyone can do their part to contribute to a better Earth and advocates for continuous learning and application of sustainability principles in one's day-to-day life.

Hyldeguard Lee

Coming from a biological and environmental science background, Hyldeguard is passionate about nature conservation. She joined the LCL team as she believes the methods of Life Cycle Thinking being applied to our social and economic development will be a main contributor to building a better environment and coexisting with nature.
